Happy Thursday!!

We hope you had a great week so far.  It is nice to see the weather getting cooler, the leaves turning and it is great being back in the swing of school!!

A few reminders for the end of this week:

Friday, October 13th is a Bonus day as we wrap up our annual Magazine Drive!  2 or more orders turned in and your child gets Mr. Puff ball in addition to their regular prizes.  Did you know this is the only way to get a JA Hot Chocolate mug before winter kicks in (7 orders for this prize!)

You have until 10/18/17 to turn in your orders!!

Fall Box top due date is 10/20/17.  Students bringing in 10 or more box tops are eligible for our fall 2017 mystery raffle!!

Make sure your students name and home room are part of your submission. (Baggie or coloring sheet are both fine)

The Johnny Appleseed Ski and Snowboard Club is an eight week program at Wachusett Mountain starting on January 7th, 2018.

Ski Club will be held 4:30pm - 8:30pm on the following Sundays:

January 7, 14,21,28, February 4, 11,18 and 25,2018.

An eight-week lift badge or a Season's pass may be purchased.

Teachers and parents of those students are entitled to discounted rates too.

**Grades K-2 (and their parents) can also purchase season passes or lift

Lessons are available for six weeks from 6 PM - 7 PM and equipment is available to rent. Parents and teachers may also take lessons.

8 Week Lift Badge thru 12/1/17 $130

8 Week Rental of Ski or Snowboard Equipment $110

Season Rental of Ski or Snowboard Equipment $179

6 Week One-Hour Ski or Snowboard Lesson $60

8 Week Helmet Rental $24

Season Passes are also available on line at a discounted rate.

Please make sure your child arrives at JA by 8:05 and your permission slip is returned by Tuesday 10/3.  Parents and Family members are welcome to participate and should park at the church parking lot and take a shuttle bus from the school to Our Lady of the Lake Church.

This week in PTO news:

•Last chance to send in your Kidstuff forms or return books

We had a very busy week last week and we want to thank our JA families for making our events a success! Open House, Kidstuff Coupon Book Fundraiser, Fall Mums/plant sale and pick up, and finally a great first JA night at Roll On!

Next week we have our first public PTO Meeting on Tuesday 10/3 

And we kick off our Magazine Drive one Monday 10/2.

 Also if you haven't returned your volunteer form and/or your classroom Directory's please send them in to your homeroom teachers. 

And as always remember to send in your Box Tops for Education, 

our last  date to turn them in before submission is Friday, October 20! 

 Who would have thought we would be so busy already!!!

Tonight (9/19) is Open House.  Stop by between 5:30 - 7:30 and explore the classroom with your child.  You can also head into to the specialists classrooms and make sure you stop by the cafeteria to say hi to the PTO and grab a snack and a bottle of water.   Please park in the church parking lot!!

Wednesday 9/20 is a half day for students.  Students will be dismissed at 11:30!!!

Thursday is the day to pick up your fall flowers.  PTO volunteers will be in the Cafeteria from 3:00 - 7:00.  Make sure you stop by!!

Kidstuff Coupon Books sale ends this Fri 9/22. ALL BOOKS HAVE STUDENT NAMES ON THEM. Either bring in order form/payment and keep the book OR send in your book.

This is also the last do to sign up for the TaeKwonDo classes🥋

4 weeks of classes AND a uniform for only $30 and 100% goes to JA PTO!!

What a better way to start off the year than a fun night out with friends!!  We will have raffles and a Henna Artist for any one who attends!!  Kids can skate, parents can catch up!  It is a win win all around!!

Going to the Johnny Appleseed Festival downtown this weekend?!?  Make sure you stop by the city wide PTO table and say Hi.  You could win an amazing gift basket as well.  Hope to see you there!!

School starts tomorrow 8/30 for grades 1-5 and Tuesday 9/5 for Kindergarten.  We will kick the year off with our annual fall plant sale starting on 9/6 and Open house is set for Tuesday, 9/19!!

Please make sure you check your child's backpack as multiple forms will be coming home the first week of school.  It is imperative that the yellow transportation form that you received with your teacher letter is sent in with your child on the first day of school so that we will be able to get your child home safely that day.

Less than a week to go!!

Less than 1 week to go!!!

We hope you are as excited as we are about the start of a new school year.  As a reminder school starts from grades 1-5 on Wednesday, August 30th and Tuesday, September 5th for Kindergartners.

We know you are excited for your teacher assignments but we thank you for your patience.  School administration has been working hard and these went out last Friday (8/18) and are in route to you.   We know some of you have not yet gotten then but please know they are on their way.  We also expect bus routes to be published soon so check our Facebook page for more information.

It is not to early to be thinking about Box Tops.  We hope you have continued to collect them over the summer.  Feel free to send them in once school starts and when buying school supplies please consider supporting the brands that support our school.  Click here to see what products are part of the Box Tops program!!
